The first few times I used the grappling hook, I tried to use it the way I would in the Batman Arkham games: point it straight at a ledge and pull myself towards it. It works, but not as fast or gracefully as you might hope. You'll kind of slam into the wall and slowly reel your way up. As that clip illustrates, the grappling hook works much better if you use it the way Spider Man uses his webs to swing. Anchor it to objects to the left or right of your target destination and use your momentum + jump abilities to swing out and up, hurling yourself through the air.

I can't wait to see the moves people pull off after a few months practice. It's going to be insane :D
