I did the following steps to resolve this issue:

Go to Bungie.net, and select "Sign Out"
Sign-in to Bungie.net anew
In-game, navigate to Settings -> Log Out -> Switch Profile
After you arrive at title screen, hit A, select your XBL profile, then enter the game as normal

Logging out and back in again fixed it. (reply)

or is it not yet done being deployed? The in game menu says I'm not in a clan or it doesn't have enough members. (I'm in DestinyBungieOrg. The website says I;m indeed in the clan and that it has 289 members (148 clanmates). So what gives? I notice also that the DBO letters no longer appear on my card...
