<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>And probably even physical size, but since we move fast, kill fast, and so on, Bingle's gotta slow us down. Strikes usually have a horde mode section where we defend a spot, forcing us to stay in one place while dudes run at us, artificially extending the length of the mission.</p>
<p>Besides getting lost often, wasn't this the problem with The Library?</p>

That's what checkpoints are for, duh.  Point taken though. I would be happy if they had a 4-5 AotCR length missions in the endgame. AotCR could honestly take as long as a raid so why not treat it as such and communicate to the player that they are in for an investment. Give them a new icon on the map or something so the kidz don't get confused. :-)</p>

<p>I think it would be interesting to see what a Destiny game would look like where the mainline story is told through the strikes (which would make up the &quot;core&quot; campaign), and then the smaller &quot;story&quot; missions could be used for side quests and stuff like that. Which is kinda the opposite of how they work now. The strikes in D1 are mostly little off-shoots from the main plot. I started a new character just before RoI shipped, and have been slowly making my way through the entirety of Destiny. With the new quest system, there are several strikes that are left out entirely. You could easily miss them if you're not being thorough about going through all the mission markers on your map. It might be cool to see the strikes brought into the foreground a bit more.</p>

<p>If I'm understanding you correctly about the gear, you are right. They cannot control the sandbox of sniper/rocket/shotgun availability like they did in Halo. That being said, they've already solved a lot of those issues with strike/raid mechanics. You want them to play a certain way? Give them a couple of non-gun tools to make the encounter you want. I think that creating levels that play well with any guardian load-out is certainly harder than if you could limit gun/gear choice, but it isn't impossible.  Add some good vehicles and I'd play that.</p>
